In this tutorial i will show you how to create the playing card using photoshop.

STEP 1

Create a new document
400 x 550 px – Background color: white

STEP 2

Use the Rounded Rectangle tool with a radius of 25px and the color # c6a762.

The result should look like this:

STEP 3

Now you have to add a Layer Style
Drop Shadow
Blend Mode: Multiply
Color: black (# 000000)
Opacity: 50 %
Distance: 1 px
Spread: 0 %
Size: 6 px

STEP 4

Copy the layer, delete [...]

How to Create a Playing card in photoshop

In this tutorial i will show you how to create the playing card using photoshop.

STEP 1

Create a new document
400 x 550 px – Background color: white

STEP 2

Use the Rounded Rectangle tool with a radius of 25px and the color # c6a762.

The result should look like this:

STEP 3

Now you have to add a Layer Style
Drop Shadow
Blend Mode: Multiply
Color: black (# 000000)
Opacity: 50 %
Distance: 1 px
Spread: 0 %
Size: 6 px

STEP 4

Copy the layer, delete the layer style and change the color to “# ffebc6″

STEP 5

Add a new Layer Style:
Inner Glow
Blending Mode: Normal
Opacity: 60 %
Color: black (# 000000)
Source: Edge
Choke: 0 %
Size: 68 px

STEP 6

Change the backgroundcolor to “# fbd79d” and the foreground color to “# ffebc6″

STEP 7

Copy the layer from the second step and delete the lyerstyle

STEP 8

Now create a new Filter
Filter –> Render –> Clouds

Change the layer to Hardlight.

STEP 9

When you want a stronger effect, copy the layer from step 7 and use Filter –> Render –> Difference
Change he layer to Hardlight.

Decide on your own if you like it with step 8 or without…but when you create this layer, move it under the layer of step 8

STEP 10

Use now the tool “Burn” with a brush about 200px, the range “Lights” and about 30%

STEP 11

Use now a good brush that the card looks older…

To show the breakup better, use a brush with the size of 63%, the Opacity of 20% and with the color white.

Brush now the corners a little bit…

STEP 12

Now you can change the Opacity of the layer from step 7 (the cloud layer) to 45% with the effect Hardlight.

Change also the Opacity of the layer with the black brushes to about 25%

STEP 13

Use the Custom Shape Tool, to create the symbols on the card. When only add the letters and the color (red or black)…
